History

“FROM CONCEPT THROUGH COMPLETION A TRADITION OF QUALITY”

Gerry Luhr moved to San Luis Obispo County in 1974 to attend the Architecture Department @ Cal Poly. At that time he was already an accomplished woodworker, building furniture & cabinetry for both retail stores & homes. During his time at Cal Poly, Gerry began designing & building custom homes + remodels & in 1984 he received his General Contractor’s License. Gerry has always been passionate about the process of design & how living in a well designed space can be transformative.

Erika Luhr grew up in a beautiful area in southern California & discovered early on in life that she had an affinity for home designs & a passion for interacting with people. In “The Go-Giver” by Bob Burg & John David Mann they say ” Your true worth is determined by how much more you give in value than you take in payment” & Erika has applied this principle to her own life & used it to form the business model for Kitchen & Bath Works.

Gerry & his wife Erika love to share their passion for beautiful, innovative, functional design & old world craftsmanship with their clients by designing + building kitchens, baths, & other spaces for all levels of active living. Their many years of experience collaborating with their clients throughout the transformation process led them to create a less stressful turn-key design + build remodeling process. With organization, transparency, clear communication, & integrity they are able to deliver peace of mind to their clients & build lasting relationships with them.
